Whitehouse is at the heart of the peaceful, sweeping countryside of the Scottish Borders. The legendary River Tweed passes nearby, flowing through one of the most beautiful and historic landscapes in Britain. From the house there is easy access to the Scottish Borders’ many amenities and attractions and to the area’s charming villages and towns.
Arriving
Getting to Whitehouse by road: From Edinburgh follow the A68 to St. Boswells (one hour). From the M6 at Carlisle follow the A7 to Hawick then the A698 and A68 to St. Boswells (about 90 minutes). From the A1 at Newcastle follow the A696 then A68 to St. Boswells (about 90 minutes). From St. Boswells follow the B6404 to the turning on the right for Whitehouse (five minutes).

Train: The new Borders Railway is operational as of September 2015. The nearest stations are Galashiels, 12.7 miles and Tweedbank, 10.6 miles.
